Case study — 2025

Tafrud*

E-learning platform · iOS + Android + Web · Saudi Arabia

A complete e-learning business engineered end-to-end: a React Native app on both stores, a WordPress-powered backend the owner runs alone, and payments built for how Saudi customers actually pay.

Role
End-to-end — product, code, stores, growth
Platforms
App Store · Google Play · Web

What I built

The mobile app

React Native with TypeScript on the New Architecture — one codebase shipping to both stores. Self-hosted course video, group chat with per-group mute, push notifications (FCM + APNs), deep links and offline-aware state.

  • React Native
  • TypeScript
  • Firebase
  • Redux Saga

Commerce & payments

Store-compliant monetization: Apple and Google in-app purchases for standard courses, plus a web-controlled cart mode that unlocks Tamara installments and bank transfer per course — all switchable from the WordPress admin without an app release.

  • Apple IAP
  • Google Play Billing
  • Tamara
  • WooCommerce

Auth & sessions

JWT authentication with magic-link SSO between app and web, a single-device session policy for content protection, and an active-sessions dashboard — implemented as a custom WordPress plugin suite.

  • JWT
  • SSO
  • Firebase OTP
  • PHP

Backend & admin

WordPress + LearnPress + WooCommerce, extended with custom plugins for payments, sessions, announcements, coupons and app configuration — so the business runs itself from one familiar admin.

  • WordPress
  • LearnPress
  • REST API
  • MySQL

Shipped & live

Every layer — the app, the plugins, the payment flows, the store releases — was designed, coded and shipped by me, with AI tooling in the loop for speed. The same approach is available for your product.
